For details on how we process Customer Content and other data on behalf of Customers, please refer to our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Account" means the resources registered to a Customer's email and password for access to the Site and Services, including associated API keys; "Customer" means the person or legal entity that registers for or uses an Account; and "Customer Content" means PDF documents, files, data, and related content submitted to Datalogics for processing.
Third-Party Service Providers
To deliver our Services, we engage certain trusted third-party service providers. Some providers process data on our behalf as subprocessors, while others provide supporting services such as analytics or payment processing. Below is a list of our current third-party service providers, the type of service they provide, and the country in which they operate:
| Provider Name | Purpose | Country |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Cloud Infrastructure Hosting | United States or EU |
| Web Analytics | United States | |
| OpenAI | AI-powered API Endpoints | United States |
| Stripe | Payment Processing | United States |
For OpenAI-powered API endpoints, Datalogics uses OpenAI Enterprise privacy controls and opts out of pdfRest data and Customer Content being used for model training. For more information, see OpenAI Enterprise Privacy.
We update this list as our API capabilities evolve.
Personal Information and Communications
“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable natural person. Datalogics may collect contact and account information such as your name, business contact information, company name, job title, billing details, and other information you provide when using the Site and Services or communicating with us.
We may use Personal Information to provide, secure, support, analyze, and bill for the Site and Services; to respond to inquiries; to send service-related communications such as invoices, account notices, product updates, and service bulletins; and, where permitted by law, to send marketing communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time, but you may still receive transactional or service-related communications.
Datalogics may disclose Personal Information to trusted third-party service providers, including subprocessors where applicable, that help us operate, host, secure, analyze, support, and bill for the Site and Services, including providers such as Amazon Web Services, Google, OpenAI, and Stripe, and may also disclose such information where required or permitted by law.
Tracking of Site Visitors
Datalogics uses Google web analytics services to track traffic and usage of the Site and Services. Information received by Datalogics from Google may include device, usage, cookies, and interaction data and is used to understand traffic patterns, analyze use of the Site and Services, and improve our presentation, content, and services.
Unsubscribing from Marketing Communications
Datalogics maintains contact with interested parties via direct marketing, email newsletters and the like for the furtherance and development of our business. To cease receiving these types of email communications, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message.
Requests to Delete Personal Information and Close Accounts
You may request closure of your Account and deletion of your Personal Information by contacting info@pdfrest.com. Upon a valid request, Datalogics will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your Personal Information and close your Account, subject to applicable law and the retention rights described below.
Datalogics may retain limited Personal Information as reasonably necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, security, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute-resolution, and enforcement obligations; to maintain internal business records; and to preserve information in backups or archived systems until such records are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course. Retained information will continue to be protected in accordance with applicable law.
If your requested deletion would leave an open Account without required billing, technical, or administrative contact information, Datalogics may require replacement contact information reasonably necessary to continue administering that Account, unless the Account is also being closed.
